Introducing our new ICFJ Knight Innovation Fellow: Chani Guyot
Guyot is an Argentine journalist, editor, and media entrepreneur. After working at La Nacion for 21 years, he stepped down to found RED/ACCIÓN, a digital media platform specialized in solutions journalism.
As a fellow, Guyot is creating a collaborative network and content-sharing program for stories that portray how people, communities, and organizations are facing – and solving – our most urgent social problems. It’s called the Human Journalism Network (HJN). Piloted in Latin America, the project carries out in-depth coverage with the goal of broadening readers’ perspectives of the world and inspiring new solutions. The HJN will be experimenting with a new business model and data tracking tools to cover topics of education, health, gender, climate, migration and more.
